| description abstract | Legal response to environmental concerns about weather engineering was minimal until the late 1960's when state laws began to tighten regulation of cloud seeding operations. The state statutes of the 1970's made possible closer governmental control over the environmental consequences of weather modification. Federal environmental protection and wilderness legislation has been applied to seeding activities. State and federal reporting rules now demand environmental information. | |
