description abstractA study is made of the dependence of daytime net all-wave radiation on global solar radiation for clear days and also for monthly mean values. Published data from Guelph, Ottawa and Toronto for the years 1946?66 are used. It is found that regression relations permit the estimation of net all-wave radiation to the same accuracy as the latter could be measured. The regression relations are, however, dependent upon latitude and surface conditions. The differences in net all-wave radiation at the three stations for the same flux of shortwave radiation are discussed. Albedo values are studied at Toronto for clear days and for monthly means.
