| description abstract | A Markov chain probability model is shown to fit sequences of wet or dry days in records of various length and for several climatically different areas. Seasonal variation of the probability values is shown, but no apparent secular trend. A nomograph relating probability, length of sequence, and cumulative probability is presented. | |
