description abstractThe nuclei mass range and optimum number concentration most efficient for warm rain development around Hawaii were studied in a modified cylindrical shallow cloud model. A new calculation scheme was developed for condensation growth in the nuclei mass range. It is shown that nuclei of mm about 10?15 g are the most efficient, and the nuclei mass distribution usually observed around Hawaii is the optimum distribution of nuclei for warm rain development.
