| description abstract | This paper presents a new method for the analysis of frames taking into account the distributed plasticity of material. The flexibility method is adopted in the formulation. Under the holonomic assumption for the force-deformation relationship and by using mathematical programming techniques, a one-step loading, noniterative method is proposed for the elastoplastic frame analysis. The proposed method is highly accurate and efficient. A numerical example was used to verify the method. | |
