| description abstract | This paper is concerned with an analysis and a design of eccentric gears. First the analysis makes the motion of the gears clear. As a result, the theoretical maximum eccentricity, the maximum change of the geometric center distance, and the angular velocity ratio are obtained. Next, two methods of designing are described and two pairs of eccentric gears are designed as examples. Finally, an approach for helical eccentric gears is presented. | |
