description abstractThis paper reports on the experience gained by the authors in the use of a nonradioactive sodium tracer in limited-scope testing in power plants with nuclear steam supply systems. It shows this method is applicable to full-scale ASME Code testing of these units. Problems encountered in obtaining and handling water samples are discussed. The theory of the tracer method is reviewed and expanded application is explained.
