description abstractAnalyses are presented for the influence of the Hall effect on electrical terminal characteristics, generated power per unit volume, pressure gradient, and generator efficiency in three configurations for MHD generators. The results indicate that desirable generator characteristics can be attained when the Hall effect is either negligible or dominant.
