description abstractThis work focuses on the crushing behavior of aluminum high speed crafts in the case of axial bow collision to a rigid structure. LS-DYNA code is used in analyses. Some available experimental prototypes tested under axial loading are first successfully simulated in the LS-DYNA environment. Then the effects of hull breadth, hull curvature, and longitudinal stiffeners on the crushing strength and behavior of the aluminum high speed craft are investigated in detail.
