description abstractFollowing up their earlier work on unnotched and single-notched specimens of 5 Cr-0.5 Mo steel, the authors investigated the change in notch profile and dimensions, as well as the structural change of the notched part, mainly for the double-notched specimens of the same material during creep deformation up to rupture, paying special attention to an interaction of notches. The most interesting result obtained is as follows: Changes in notch profile and dimensions, as well as in structures, occurred more rapidly and markedly, and the rupture strength decreased, as the distance between notches decreased.
