description abstractIn this study the equations of motion derived by von Karman (1), with Benton’s transformations (2) for the flow over a single free disk is studied for the slip flow. The slip regime for the Knudsen number (Kn) is valid in the range 0.1>Kn>0.01(3). For Kn<0.01 the no-slip condition is present and for Kn>0.1 the Navier–Stokes equations cannot be used since the flow field cannot be assumed to be continuum. In our study, the slip and the no-slip regimes that lie in the range 0.1>Kn>0 is considered.
