| description abstract | This issue marks the beginning of my third year as editor of JVA. The associate editors, journal secretary and I continue to strive to improve the performance of the Journal, with mean time from initial receipt of manuscript to publication now at approximately 18 months. We again thank the authors for their patience and the reviewers for graciously working with us. Professor Chin An Tan and Professor Richard Keltie have joined the ranks of Associate Editors for three year terms, and Professor Michael Friswell has agreed to serve the Journal for an additional three years.
