description abstractThe atmospheric loading of several greenhouse gases is increasing. The most important of these is carbon dioxide, which is emitted to the atmosphere when fossil fuel is burned to supply energy. In this paper I discuss the implications of this in terms of global warming, and address the claims of the skeptics in the scientific community. [S0199-6231(00)00103-9]
