| description abstract | A relation between journal vibration and asymmetric temperature in the lubricant-journal interface is derived. The bearing consists of five equally distributed tilting-pads. An arbitrary synchronous harmonic journal vibration is allowed. Heat conduction in the rotor shaft for nonstationary bearing temperature is solved. The result is presented as a frequency response of the shaft bow. Influence of air-convection and different bearing widths is investigated. | |
