description abstractAn analysis of short endurance fatigue of thin walled shells with internal pressure and supported at the outside diameter while subjected to an imposed axial motion, has been investigated in detail. The variations in the number of cycles as a function of material strength, friction coefficient, thin walled shell thickness and internal pressure, were analyzed.
