description abstractConceptual design codes have been developed to provide conceptual design estimates of bleed and horsepower extraction requirements of advanced military aircraft. This paper describes the methodology for the computer codes. The validity of the models was assessed by generating bleed and horsepower estimates for four advanced air-craft configurations not included in the data base and comparing the model estimates to manufacturer’s estimates.
