description abstractIn this paper, various rational, semirational, and, empirical approximations for the ASME long-radius, flow-nozzle discharge coefficients are first reviewed. These approximations are then compared to obtain the most probable representation of ASME flow-nozzle data according to a mathematical method developed in the paper. A table of most probable discharge coefficients versus the throat Reynolds number is given, based on the results of this study.
