description abstractA viscoplastic constitutive model characterization is presented for the small strain, nonisothermal behavior of a 9Cr-1Mo-V-Nb pressure vessel steel between 25°C and 600°C. A framework based on previously proposed viscoplastic models is reviewed. The technique for including deformation softening is discussed and the procedure used to determine model constants and parameters is presented. Results of model integration are compared with various isothermal and nonisothermal, uniaxial test results.
