description abstractCorrelations for changes of skin friction coefficients (Δcf ) and wake parameters (ΔΠ), relative to the low freestream turbulence condition, are presented for the case of turbulent boundary layers under freestream turbulence with zero and adverse pressure gradients. The turbulent boundary layers were evaluated on a plate in a wind tunnel using a monoplane rod set turbulence generator; comparisons were also made using the data of several other investigators. The results, which define the velocity profiles within the boundary layers, were found to collapse for a large range of the pressure gradient parameter.
