description abstractA new type of water jet pump called the bend-type jet pump was investigated both theoretically and experimentally for its performance, with the primary and secondary fluids both being water. The jet pump of this type with comparatively low area ratios is promising to transport liquid containing large particles. Valuable data are given to show its performance characteristics.
