description abstractPreviously established characteristics of steady-state discharge through a valve are employed for the study of quasi-steady discharge from a vessel. Experimental examination of the problem has also been carried out. The data obtained in the laboratory fully supported the validity of the quasi-steady approach to this type of unsteady flow problems.
