description abstractNapier’s Law is advantageous for calculating critical mass flow rate of water-steam mixture. On the basis of numerical computations, it has been recently extended to a number of fluids. A theoretical approach using simple thermodynamic calculations can account for the existence of such a law when a few basic conditions are fulfilled.
