description abstractThis paper describes some experimental values for flow resistance of wire nettings in low Reynolds number flows, such as natural air convection, providing basic thermal data necessary for designing electronic equipment casings. The experiment was designed to evaluate the wire netting resistance coefficient in natural air convection. As a result, the relationships among the resistance coefficient for wire netting, Reynolds number, and porosity coefficient were obtained in useful form.
