description abstractAn experimentally obtained velocity field about a body of revolution at a small angle of attack, and at subsonic velocity, is used to determine the vorticity distribution about the body. Surface-flow visualization and pressure-distribution tests are used to supplement the vorticity-distribution data in attempting to explain the mechanisms of the flow, and thus the differences between the real flow and that predicted by potential theory.
