ASME ( American Society of Mechanical Engineers )
Description: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) is a professional association that, in its own words, "promotes the art, science, and practice of multidisciplinary engineering and allied sciences around the globe" via "continuing education, training and professional development, codes and standards, research, conferences and publications, government relations, and other forms of outreach." ASME is thus an engineering society, a standards organization, a research and development organization, a lobbying organization, a provider of training and education, and a nonprofit organization. Founded as an engineering society focused on mechanical engineering in North America, ASME is today multidisciplinary and global.

A Solid Modeller Based Milling Process Simulation and Planning System
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: A Constructive Solid Geometry (CSG) based process simulation system is developed for 2 1/2 axis milling. Along each path, the cutter is intersected with the individual geometric primitives ...
Milling Process Simulation—A Generic Solid Modeller Based Paradigm
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: A generic solid modeller based milling process simulation system is developed for 3-axis milling of complex parts. Parts are described using a boundary representation solid model, and cutting ...
Simultaneous Large Scale Sheet Metal Geometry and Strain Measurement
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: The need to simultaneously measure sheet metal geometry and strain arises during research, die tryout, statistical process control production part approval, or in response to manufacturing exceptions. ...
