ASME ( American Society of Mechanical Engineers )
Description: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) is a professional association that, in its own words, "promotes the art, science, and practice of multidisciplinary engineering and allied sciences around the globe" via "continuing education, training and professional development, codes and standards, research, conferences and publications, government relations, and other forms of outreach." ASME is thus an engineering society, a standards organization, a research and development organization, a lobbying organization, a provider of training and education, and a nonprofit organization. Founded as an engineering society focused on mechanical engineering in North America, ASME is today multidisciplinary and global.

Axisymmetric Thermal Stresses in a Transversely Isotropic Circular Cylinder Having a Spherical Cavity
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Torsional Impact Response in an Infinite Cylinder With a Circumferential Edge Crack
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: The problem of torsional impact response in an infinite cylinder with a circumferential edge crack is solved. Using Laplace and Fourier transforms the problem is reduced to a singular integral ...
Axisymmetric Singular Stresses in a Thick-Walled Spherical Shell With an Internal Edge Crack
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: The paper considers the elastostatic axisymmetric problem for a thick-walled spherical shell containing a circumferential edge crack on the inner surface. The ring-shaped edge crack and the inner ...
Stresses in a Transversely Isotropic Slab Having a Spherical Cavity
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: This paper deals with the analysis of the stress distribution arising in a transversely isotropic infinite slab with a symmetrically located spherical cavity under all-around tension. Difficulties ...
Stresses in a Transversely Isotropic Half Space Having a Spherical Cavity
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: In this paper, a solution is given for the stresses and displacements around a spherical cavity in a transversely isotropic homogeneous elastic half space under all-around tension. The traction-free ...
Stresses in a Transversely Isotropic Circular Cylinder Having a Spherical Cavity
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: This paper concerns the analysis of the stress distribution arising in a transversely isotropic infinite cylinder having a spherical cavity under longitudinal tension. Boundary conditions on the ...
