ASME ( American Society of Mechanical Engineers )
Description: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) is a professional association that, in its own words, "promotes the art, science, and practice of multidisciplinary engineering and allied sciences around the globe" via "continuing education, training and professional development, codes and standards, research, conferences and publications, government relations, and other forms of outreach." ASME is thus an engineering society, a standards organization, a research and development organization, a lobbying organization, a provider of training and education, and a nonprofit organization. Founded as an engineering society focused on mechanical engineering in North America, ASME is today multidisciplinary and global.

On the Modeling of Nonproportional Cyclic Plasticity of Waspaloy
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: The isotropic hardening is known to play an effective role in the overhardening of materials under nonproportional cyclic loading. However, the behavior of the two states of Waspaloy (namely ...
Fatigue Damage Initiation in Waspaloy Under Complex Cyclic Loading
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: The low-cycle fatigue damage initiation in Waspaloy under complex cyclic loading (out-of-phase) is studied from experimental and theoretical viewpoints. Special emphasis is put on the transgranular ...
Determinist-Probabilistic Concept in Modeling Fatigue Damage Through a Micromechanical Approach
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: Motivated by a micromechanical determinist-probabilistic model coupled with damage recently developed by the authors, a new generalization is proposed to describe the nonlinear elasto-inelastic ...
Dynamic Biaxial Plastic Buckling of Circular Shells
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: Of particular interest is the experimental study of the complex dynamic plastic buckling of circular metallic shells and their energy absorption capacity. Initially proposed by and (2006), “ ...
Quasi-Static Biaxial Plastic Buckling of Tubular Structures Used as an Energy Absorber
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: The aim of this experimental study is to improve the energy absorption capacity of tubular metallic structures during their plastic buckling by increasing the strength properties of materials. ...
Modeling of the Grain Shape Effect on the Elastic-Inelastic Behavior of Polycrystals With Self-Consistent Scheme
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: Based on a well established nonincremental interaction law for fully anisotropic elastic-inelastic behavior of polycrystals, tangent formulation-based and simplified interaction laws of softened ...
