ASME ( American Society of Mechanical Engineers )
Description: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) is a professional association that, in its own words, "promotes the art, science, and practice of multidisciplinary engineering and allied sciences around the globe" via "continuing education, training and professional development, codes and standards, research, conferences and publications, government relations, and other forms of outreach." ASME is thus an engineering society, a standards organization, a research and development organization, a lobbying organization, a provider of training and education, and a nonprofit organization. Founded as an engineering society focused on mechanical engineering in North America, ASME is today multidisciplinary and global.

Impact of Materials and Design on Solid Oxide Fuel Cell Stack Operation
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: Planar SOFC stack technology based on a unique concept (SOFConnex™) uses structured gas distribution layers between unprofiled metal sheet interconnects and thin Ni-YSZ anode supported electrolyte ...
State of the Art: Hydrogen storage
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: Hydrogen is often considered to be the ultimate energy source for vehicles. However, if hydrogen is to fuel practical vehicles, then the development of fuel cell and hydrogen fueled engine ...
Control Strategy Optimization of a Fuel-Cell Electric Vehicle
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: In the last decades, due to emission reduction policies, research focused on alternative powertrains among which electric vehicles powered by fuel cells are becoming an attractive solution. The ...
Development of Evaluation Technologies for Microtubular SOFCs Under Pressurized Conditions
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: We developed evaluation technologies for microtubular solid oxide fuel cells under pressurized conditions. The pressurized cell evaluation system for the single cell was produced. The chamber ...
Parametric Sensitivity Analysis of Fast Load Changes of a Dynamic MCFC Model
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: Molten carbonate fuel cells are well suited for stationary power production and heat supply. In order to enhance service lifetime, hot spots, respectively, high temperature gradients inside the ...

Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: There was an error in Fig. 2. The correct version appears below.
The Use of a High Temperature Wind Tunnel for MT-SOFC Testing—Part II: Use of Computational Fluid Dynamics Software in Order to Study Previous Measurements
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: Micro-tubular solid oxide fuel cells (MT-SOFCs) are a much smaller version of larger tubular SOFCs. They are operational within seconds and allow a higher power density per volume than the ...
Performance Evaluation of Solid Oxide Fuel Cell Engines Integrated With Single/Dual-Spool Turbochargers
Publisher: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Abstract: This study investigates the performance and operating characteristics of 5kW-class solid oxide fuel cell and gas turbine (SOFC/GT) hybrid systems for two different configurations, namely single- ...
